The Albemarle Area chapter was started in 2005 as a charter member of Hunters Helping Kids. Being part of a growing organization like HHK offers many rewards. Seeing a kid's smile after a successful day of hunting is proof positive we are on the right track.

We are dedicated to educating youth about conservation, wildlife management, outdoor sports and keeping the Hunting Heritage alive. We endeavor to ensure that the youth of today will be our outdoor sportsmen and conservationists of tomorrow. our goal is to provide hunting activities for kids of all ages and abilities while educating them about the outdoors and gun safety.

We have had the pleasure of hosting six National HHK Banquets.
The National Banquet is a fund raiser that provides funding for the HHK Ultimate Kids Hunt, Ultimate Girls Hunt and other activities sponsored by Hunters Helping Kids.

In 2008 we hosted the First Annual Ultimate Girls Hunt. We had six girls ranging from age 10 to 15 that participated coming from as far away as Up-State New York. A wonderful time of fellowship, fun, sharing the Hunting Heritage and outdoor experience was enjoyed by all. Nine deer were harvested by the group. The hunt was a safe informal structured event in itself that filled our hearts with sharing the love of the outdoors and our Hunting Heritage.

In 2011 Albemarle Area chapter will once again proudly host the forth annual Ultimate Girls Hunt. Please see our planned events for further details.
